James J Smyth

James J. Smyth studied History and Sociology at the University of Glasgow, did his P.D. at the University of Edinburgh, and is currently a lecturer in History at the University of Stirling. He is the author of Labour in Glasgow 1896-1936: socialism, suffrage, sectarianism, a Scottish Historical Society Monograph, and has published widely in modern Scottish social and political history.
