Sir Colin Campbell

"Sir Colin Campbell", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.

The song commemorates the career of Sir Colin Campbell, Field-Marshal Lord Clyde (1792-1863). Born in Glasgow and christened Colin Macliver, he became one of Britain's greatest Victorian military heroes.
