W R Mainds watercolour sketch of a backcourt at 13 Argyle Street, 1891. The door on the left appears to leads to commercial premises, and there are bottles in the window of the shop seen through the archway. The woman carrying a heavy load on her back is probably taking clothes or linen to the wash house.
