Bell (fl 1560-1641) was the Senior Minister of the Laigh (or Tron)Kirk and one of the city's leading Presbyterians during the troubled years of the early 1600s. He preached the opening address to the General Assembly at Glasgow which adopted the National Covenant in 1638.
