Newlands Farm c 1830. In the foreground, a rosy-cheeked dairymaid is chatting to a farm worker with a pitchfork.

Newlands Farm stood near the point at which Newlands Road crosses St Bride's Road.

This watercolour is one of a series painted by an unknown artist working for the Maxwell family. The paintings depict building and scenery on the Pollok Estate.
