Donald MacLeod (1831-1916) was the Minister of the Park Church 1869-1916 and a member of the famous MacLeod dynasty of clergymen.
The son of Norman and younger brother (and biographer) of Norman of Barony Church fame, Donald MacLeod was licensed by the Presbytery of Glasgow in 1855. He came to Park Church after spells at Lauder and Linlithgow, and served as a Chaplain in Ordinary to Queen Victoria and her successors. He was Convenor of the Church of Scotland's Home Mission Committee 1888-1890, and Moderator of the General Assembly 1895-1896.
MacLeod was editor of Good Works from 1872 until 1895. Like other members of the MacLeod dynasty, he did not conform with the stern stereotype of a Church of Scotland minister. In 1873 The Bailie described him as "tall and stout, jolly and affable". He died while shaking hands with a friend.
