William Taylor

William Taylor was a grain merchant and a councillor.

Taylor was a preceptor of Hutchesons' Charity and in 1872 helped to obtain the Act required to alter the school buildings in Crown Street to provide for more pupils, including girls. He was a president of the YMCA.
