"Glasgow Pretty Girls", a song in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 and held at the Mitchell Library.
"My song is of the Glasgow girls, dressed up in hoops with pretty curls." The songwriter waxes lyrical about the city's young women, "so nobby, white and clean, dressed up in crinolene."
