The Glasgow Show

"The Highland and Agricultural Society's Glasgow Show", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.

This song is about the agricultural show which brought affluent West Enders to "hob nob with the East" on Glasgow Green. The show became an annual event and the society became the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland in 1948.
