Springfield Primary School on Allan Street in Dalmarnock.
This photograph was taken shortly after the school opened on 12 February 1969. It had a capacity of 419 pupils, but by 2003 the roll had shrunk to just seventy. The school is scheduled to close in June 2003, and the pupils to be transferred with those of Dalmarnock, Barrowfield and London Road Primaries to a new school that will be erected on the site of Dalmarnock Primary's playing fields in 2005.
