The History Lecture Theatre in the Gilbert Scott Building at the University of Glasgow, c 1976.
The long curving wooden benches were a feature of lecture theatres in the late 19th century. The theatre was also equipped with a demonstration bench and a long blackboard at the front of the room. There is a platform mounted in the centre of the third and fourth row of benches, on which the lecturer could mount a lantern slide projector.
