Shettleston Co-op

The Shettleston Co-operative Society butchers' shop in Shettleston Road, 1935.

The Shettleston Co-op was one of many independent cooperative societies in the city. Glasgow was a bastion of the co-operative movement but the multiplicity of small local autonomous societies was unusual for a British city.
