Tea and wine shop

Meiklejohn's Tea and Wine shop in Springburn Road, c 1930s.

Margaret Lacy (later O'Neill) stands in the doorway of the shop where she worked. The window displays indicate the range of beverages on sale, including Burton and McEwan's ales, tonic wines, invalid port and Johnnie Walker and White Horse Scotch whiskies. Tea is conspicuous by its absence!
