Autumn 1898, by Frances Macdonald (1874-1921), pencil and gouache on vellum with beaten lead frame made especially for the work.
Frances shared a workshop with her sister Margaret at 128 Hope Street in the 1890s. The sisters each produced at least two series of watercolours depicting the four seasons.
