Glasgow Central Mosque

The concrete minaret of the Glasgow Central Mosque in Mosque Avenue off Gorbals Street. The mosque opened in 1986 and is one of thirteen in Glasgow. It can accommodate 2,500 people for prayers, which are said five times a day.

In 2004 there are plans to add an Islamic Centre on the site.
